Mizz Morgan is a multi-talented New York artist whose performing days started at
the age of 4, where she began dancing at the Broooklyn Academy of Music
(B.A.M) specializing in tap. As time went on, she realized she loved to sing just as
much as, if not more than, dancing. Making the decision to fuse her two passions,
she realized performing was her forte and powered with this realization, there was
no stopping her.
To nurture her blossoming talent, she joined a number of dance classes and choir
ensembles. At 13 years old, she made the decision to audition for Talent Unlimited,
Performing Arts High School in New York City, and was accepted. This solidified
her as a natural born performer, and motivated her to perform in multiple local
shows as a solo artist, while also collaborating with other talented, up and coming
artists.
It wasn't long before her talent was recognized by others, including her peers in
the entertainment industry, and she was approached by a management team to
join a three girl group "TAJ". The fiercely talented girl group created a dynamic buzz
within the streets of New York, opening shows for mainstream artists such as
Ne-Yo, Bow Wow and Tracey Morgan at the Utopias Paradise Theatre. Despite their local success, after two years, the group did not survive. In an attempt to keep part of the group together, Mizz Morgan, and a former "TAJ" member came together to form the duo, "787", with a new sound and new creative team. Shortly after, Mizz Morgan decided "It's My Time" and made the life-changing, albeit difficult, decision to pursue a solo career.
Mizz Morgan has created a sound all her own, incorporating the smooth nature of R & B, the energetic tones of pop music, and the raw sound of hip-hop. Her presence is one that is undeniable; and coupled with her amazing writing ability and dance background, she is ready to make her mark in the music industry. Her music is a reflection of her life - she has stayed true to herself, despite the bumps in the road, and her music tells her story.
